Role Purpose:
Maintain the safety of all spectators attending Football and Rugby League games held at The Brick Community, Stadium, Christopher Park, Stadium Way, Robin Park Areana and Edge Hall Road, providing excellent customer service to enhance the spectator experience.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- General Customer Services.
- Monitoring access and egress points.
- Proactively search and identify areas for hazards, defects, or suspect packages.
- Searching for spectators on their entry to the ground.
- Physically intervening against and ejecting spectators who are in breach of ground regulations. This includes decisions on refusal of entry.
- Providing Information and direction.
- Ensuring crowd safety plans and procedures are adhered to.
- Reporting any suspicious behavior.
- Monitoring Crowds for distress, overcrowding and disorder and to report any issues.
- Carry out Ingress control – ticket validation, accreditation checks, and queries.
- Cary out Egress control – Observing safe egress from areas, including emergency evacuation.
- Reporting and recording details of accidents, irregularities, near misses, or incidents.
- Responding to accidents, incidents as directed.
- Maintaining safe working environments, and health and safety management.
- Assisting in the management of vehicle access, parking, and egress
- Act to protect all young people and vulnerable adults that are in their care or attending the company’s premises.
- The employee must report any misconduct or suspected misconduct.
- Ensure a positive commitment towards equality and diversity.
- Support vehicle access, parking, and pedestrian safety.
Qualifications:
(Essential)
- Hold a Level 2 Spectator Safety Qualification or Equivalent or be working towards this qualification.
(Desirable)
- SIA qualified.
- Spectator safety level 3
- ACT (counter terrorism training)

Health and Safety:
- Fully endorse, demonstrate and carry out the company’s health and safety policy.
- Comply with all company policies and statutory regulations relating to health and safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHH. This will include your awareness of any specific hazards in your work place, and assist if required with the amending of risk assessments periodically.
- Have a full knowledge of procedures for evacuation with regard to fire.
- Identify and report maintenance requirements or hazards within the workplace and encourage any workforce to do the same to avoid injury.
